Following recent reports concerning customs inspections on photovoltaic panels imported from third countries, it is considered appropriate to provide clarification regarding the regulatory obligations applicable in Italy in the field of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

Registro AEE: 2024 fees published
The Registro AEE has published the fees related to the year 2024, with the payment deadline set for 30 June 2026.

Rome, October 9, 2025 – The Collective Systems Consorzio ERP Italia, Cobat RAEE, and PV CYCLE ITALIA, which together represent approximately 90% of producers operating in the national photovoltaic sector, commissioned an independent study from the Politecnico di Milano – Energy & Strategy Group to assess and validate the sustainability of the Trust financing model applied to the end-of-life management of photovoltaic modules.

The second edition of the Recycling Renewables Summit will take place on October 23, 2025. This international event, co-organized by PV CYCLE and Solarplaza, will bring together experts, companies, and professionals in Amsterdam to discuss the future of recycling and the sustainable management of renewable energy assets.
