Producers of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), according to the provisions of Legislative Decree 49/2014 as amended, must meet certain requirements, including:

• Organise and finance WEEE collection, treatment and recycling operations;
• Register with the National Register of EEE Producers;
• Enter the registration number in all business documents;
• Declare annually to the National Register the quantities and categories of EEE placed on the market in the previous year;
• Mark the EEE with the crossed-out bin symbol and the manufacturer's mark according to UNI standards;
• Provide adequate information in the instructions for use of EEE on the proper disposal of WEEE;
• Inform processing plants of the composition of products and the potential use of hazardous materials;
• Establish a financial guarantee;

A Foreign Producer is an entity not established in Italy that sells directly to the Italian end user - whether domestic or professional - by means of distance communication techniques.

In order to fulfil the obligations provided for by the Italian regulations, the Foreign Producer is obliged to designate an Authorised Representative residing in the national territory. This Representative has the task of managing, on behalf of the Producer, all regulatory fulfilments and legal responsibilities deriving from the Producer's activity in Italy.

In this context, PV CYCLE ITALIA CONSORZIO offers an Authorised Representative service for its members, not only in Italy, but also in all European countries where legislation requires it. Our service is designed to guarantee the full compliance of the Foreign Manufacturer with national regulations, ensuring that all legislative obligations are adequately and effectively met.

The appointment of an Authorised Representative is therefore a fundamental measure to protect the interests of the manufacturer, ensuring the proper conduct of its business in both the Italian and European markets.

• Registration in the National Registers of Manufacturers;
• Analysis of legislative obligations concerning Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) and/or Waste Batteries and Accumulators (WEEE);
• Authorised representation service for foreign companies;
• Assistance in compliance with regulations and laws on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and/or Waste Batteries and Accumulators (RIPA);
• Support in compliance with GSE Operating Instructions;
• One-for-one and one-for-zero compliance services;
• Communication to the competent authorities of data and information relating to the obligations of the Producer and Importer;
• Transmission of data on the collection, treatment and recycling of WEEE and/or RIPA;
• Sustainability budgets and reports.

The Warranty Certificate is a fundamentally important document certifying the registration and guarantee of photovoltaic module serial numbers.

This platform offers a useful and accessible service that allows users to download the guarantee certificate easily and immediately.

In the event that your photovoltaic panels are not registered and guaranteed with PV CYCLE ITALIA CONSORZIO, and should you believe that they have been properly registered, please contact us as soon as possible at italy@pvcycle.org to check the situation and receive the necessary support.

The Membership Certificate is an official document valid for one year, formally certifying the Manufacturer's membership of PV CYCLE ITALIA CONSORZIO.

If you are a registered producer, you can obtain your Membership Certificate by logging into your account (https://portal.pvcycle.org/it-IT/SignIn) and navigating to the 'Certificates' section. This step will enable you to download the certificate easily and directly.

It is possible to verify the validity of the Membership Certificate by using the unique code on the document. This feature ensures transparency and allows you to confirm your actual membership of the Collective System.

Waste from portable batteries and accumulators can be delivered free of charge by different means, depending on the needs of the users and the specific characteristics of the collection points, as follows

• Municipal Collection Centres: Waste portable batteries and accumulators can be handed in at municipal collection centres, which offer a free collection service accessible to citizens. https://www.raccogliamopiupile.it/
• Distributors Equipped with Suitable Containers: Users can make use of the collection service at distributors, i.e. retail outlets equipped with suitable containers for the disposal of portable batteries and accumulators. This service, which is also free of charge, facilitates the proper disposal of waste at the point of sale.

N.B. The service does not include the collection of spent batteries from maintenance and professional service activities.

• Large Users: Users may also deliver waste portable batteries and accumulators to the so-called 'Large Users', i.e. those persons who, in the course of their professional activity, are initial producers of such waste, provided that they fulfil two criteria:

1. The generation of waste portable batteries and accumulators must be at least 400 kg/year.
2. Each minimum withdrawal must be at least 100 kg.

• Storage facilities: recovery or storage facilities authorised pursuant to Legislative Decree 152/2006 as amended and supplemented, capable of receiving spent portable batteries and accumulators;
• WEEE Treatment Facilitie: facilities that can request take-back only for waste portable batteries and accumulators from WEEE treatment activity;

These arrangements have been defined to ensure an accessible service in line with current waste disposal regulations in order to protect the environment and encourage the proper handling of these potentially hazardous materials.

Household WEEE is electronic waste from private households and those of commercial, industrial, institutional or other origin, provided that they are similar in nature and quantity to those produced by private households. In addition, Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) that can be used by both private households and different entities are still considered as household WEEE.
